Use this log to record repeated observations consistently. A pattern in the log can help organize questions, but it does not prove a cause, infestation, population trend, or species identification.

Method

• Use the same location names and units across entries.
• Record zero observations only when a comparable check was actually made.
• Separate direct observations from guesses about cause or identity.
• Keep original images and note any changes in camera, lighting, inspection effort, or access.
• Review the log before acting, and use a qualified local identifier when an error could affect health, wildlife, property, or pesticide decisions.
