AI and Automation Policy
AI may assist workflow and drafting, but it is not the factual authority or final approver.
Permitted assistance
AI may help organize research, prepare blank outlines, improve grammar, normalize metadata, propose tags, and generate quality-control code. Material AI assistance should be recorded.
Prohibited authority
AI is not the final authority for species identification, biological facts, medical claims, pesticide use, wildlife handling, conservation status, law, or licensing. It may not invent citations, authors, reviewers, credentials, experience, dates, affiliations, ratings, or first-hand observations.
Sources must be opened and verified. High-risk material requires the defined qualified review.
Images and publication
AI-generated animals or pests are not used as factual identification evidence. If a generated illustration is ever used decoratively, it must be labeled as an illustration.
Automation can block unsafe release but cannot grant factual approval. A real accountable person remains responsible for final publication.
